'Tis the season to be jolly!
WOOOOHHHOOOOOOO!!! We got snow!!! I can't even begin to tell you how absolutely, positively excited I was to see everything covered in white!!! So covered in white that I just couldn't even go to work...darn it! :P
The snow definitely got Ken and I into our holiday spirit! Ken decorated the house with Christmas lights and decorations galore!!!! He is definitely giving Clark Griswald a run for his money :)
Since the snow, all the bunnies has gotten their hair cut and now I have lots of spinning to do with the angora....I can't wait....I just need to wait until I am done with all my holiday projects/
We also went to Las Vegas for my company Christmas party! I lost all the money that I went there to loose, but Ken was a BIG WINNER!!! He played in a poker tournament and took 1st place! That's right, 1ST PLACE!!!! Yay him!!! Then he felt some love coming from a blazing 7's machine and boom! $500.00. Sadly, but not suprisingly, we still came back with no money, but boy did we have a great time spending it!
In the meantime of all our goings ons I have been ambitiously plugging away at this afgahn I stared in Christmas 2002...yes, that means this is my 4th year working on it. By my calculations, it should be done by 2010...thank goodness I picked colors I absolutely love because I would have lost motivation long ago if I didn't like it as much as I still do :) Truth be told, the reason I have gotten so much done lately is that I have discovered that during my commute to and from work, driving at 10 miles per hour for 45 minutes, I can easily crochet and drive at the same time...and I am no longer frustrated by I-405 and the fact that my 14 mile commute can take up to 1 hour and 15 minutes each way because now I consider it quality knitting time :)
And though I know I need to really focus on the christmas projects, I did have to squeeze in a little spinning! This one turned out so pretty! And it all stays in the DK to fingering weight range!! Yay me :) You can see the other handspuns here
Hope everyone's holidays have gotten off to a wonderful start...

The spinning looks great - I love that barberpole action! We have yet to get snow here in Mass, I'm not bummed at all....it can be such a pain sometimes, but it does look pretty. The bunnies look so small now that they are all shaved!
Wow, the yarn is gorgeous! It makes me drool. The bunnies look like stuffed animals, so cute! I have been in awe of your blanket since you showed it a long time ago. I don't know if I have that kind of patience.
I see you were totally rockin' the Griswold family xmas huh???? [the one movie I watch every year...]
LOVE the new yarn, beautiful! Are the white bunnies in the photo the ones w/haircuts or are they stuffies? They totally look like stuffies... :)
