Rolling with the punches

Oh My Gosh...no wonder brides get wedding planners!!! You would be amazed at all the details that go into planning a wedding! Slowly but surely, in the midst of all the wedding chaos, I have still been plugging away at this sweater. I have all the pieces done, so now it's a matter of seaming and picking up stitches for the collar. Sadly, it's on the back burner while I battle the road blocks for this wedding.
Happily, I am just about at the assembly phase for the wedding invitations! I hit a serious creative block coming up with the design for these! Now things are moving right a long, though I am about 3 or 4 weeks behind, I should be able to get them out soon. I think I am going to be giving my soon-to-be-mother-in-law a call to see if she'd like to help put these together with me.
We have run into a few bumps and bruises along the way for this wedding...the wedding dress is going to be three weeks late and I am hoping there will be time for alterations, Ken's wedding band will likely not be arriving in time for the wedding, the bachelorette party has crumbled after months of talking and planning, an arguement as a result of the bachelorette party is the reason one of my bride's maids has decided to not be part of the wedding, still haven't decided on or ordered the tux's (how long does that take anyways?), and I had food poisoning while I shopped with my bride's maids for their dresses. I am thinking it can only get better from here, but I am not holding my breath!! In the end the wedding is all about the reception anyways...and that is coming together GREAT, so that's a good thing.
In the mean time, my little sprouts are growing like crazy...now if the weather would starting being a little more predictable, I would plant them outside!!

Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to help. It will all come together beautifully and everyone will have a wonderful time.

I don't remember how long our tuxes took, but I do remember that it takes very little time to go in and pick one out. Just send him down there and knock one more thing off your list. :-)

It will all be wonderful!

Wow, that's a lot of stress! My annoying advice is to try to let it roll off you and trust that it'll all seem insignificant after the (beautiful, wonderful) day has passed. I think about the things that had me going crazy in the months before and while I understand why they stressed me out, I'm glad to be able to say that they wound up having no affect whatsoever on the fun and excitement of the day.

Have fun putting together the invitations! I loved that part -- so craftsy!

Sorry to hear about all of the craziness! I promise that even if things go wrong (and they WILL go wrong) you will remember your wedding day being perfect!
