Holiday Knitting Ideas: Full Scale Ferrari??

It's that time of year again when I'm spending more and more time planning for and working on holiday knitting projects. More on my ideas later. But in a quick search for some simple knits, I came across this blog about a woman who knitted a full-size ferrari cozy!

No kidding - look closely, the whole thing is knitted! Apparently it's made up of 250 squares hand knit by Lauren and 20 other knitters. Not to mention she welded the metal frame it's sitting on. Sheesh!

I love cozies as much as the next gal, but I don't think I'll get that ambitious this year. What are you working on for the holidays?

I've got some mittens on the needles right now. And then I'm knitting a pair of socks. I'm thinking of doing a couple of hat and scarf sets with mittens/fingerless gloves if I get ambitious and have enough yarn. I also want to do some "quick" dishclothes on my knitting machine. Let's see how far I actually get!

Excellent! I love the fingerless gloves. And the knitting machine sure makes projects a jiff!

I'm making some knit market bags to give out for the holidays and I think my boyfriend will finally get the hat he's been wanting me to knit forever :)

The photo you have on the knit Ferrari is too funny - my boyfriend actually sent it to me as an email attachment one day with the subject heading "will you knit me one?" LOL

I haven't even started thinking about holiday knitting yet! I'm thinking Rhonda might have the right idea with mittens...

I'm knitting a sweater (out of your yarn) for my daughter, and also a pair of fingerless mittens/arm warmer things (also out of your yarn). I would like to start a pair of socks, but can't decide which pattern to begin.
